How to do get/set in the sorted list?

I have a sorted list. How to get the IEnumerable back from the linq query?
Since I am sorting MyClass I don’t have the field to get back.

Activity of a body (in terms of work done on the body)

I have been reading about the concept of an “activity” of a body. Let me explain:
Intuitively, it seems that the energy a body “absorbs” should be proportional to the activity of the body. (Or maybe that would be energy that the body absorbs?)
In the book Classical Mechanics and Applications of Lie groups to Mechanics and Quantum Field Theory, a bunch of exercises dealing with the center of mass require one to compute the energy of a system of body $\Omega$ with respect to a reference system, which in general is not $\Omega$.
To compute this energy, the book gives these steps (paraphrased, which is probably not that far off):
“We observe that the energy $U$ of the body does not appear in the kinetic energy of the center of mass $\textbf{r}_\text{CM}$ (the gravitational potential energy does not appear in the kinetic energy either).”
“Then, $U$ is a priori arbitrary and so we assume it to be infinity, which is far more than the classical limit”
“Now, by integrating $\textbf{F}$ with respect to the center of mass, we get the following (only the first line of the result is repeated here):
$$U=\int\limits_{\Omega} \textbf{F} \cdot d\textbf{r}=-\int\limits_{\Omega} \textbf{r}_{CM} \cdot d\textbf{F}$$
$U$ should be an energy of the body with respect to the reference system, which I guess means that it should be the energy the body “absorbs”.
My question is:
How exactly does one go about computing this energy?
And, more importantly,
Is there any way to compute it?
