20 Photoshop tips & tricks
1. Make a selection using a grid
Ever gone for the cop out and just pressed the B key in Photoshop?
If you need to make precise selections and line work, it is a great shortcut to use a grid, such as a 1-pixel line or a grid of 10-pixel lines.
To create a grid:
Click and drag from the left to the right in an even manner, or use the Move Tool (the plus sign), and drag.
When you release the mouse, Photoshop will make the line or grid by drawing it in the correct position.
You can also press Shift + Ctrl + M to create a 1-pixel line, or Shift + Ctrl + U to create a 10-pixel line.
You can also apply these grids as a layer mask for another layer.
2. Use the channels and channel information panel for better editing
It’s easy to confuse the channels, spots, curves and levels. The good news is that Photoshop displays them in a simple way and makes it easy for you to access them.
Here are some cool techniques for the channels and layer information panel:
You can move and copy channels using the arrow keys. To move multiple channels at a time, press the Ctrl (or Cmd) key and then use the arrow keys to select the channels that you want to move.
If you want to duplicate the channels, use the Ctrl (or Cmd) key and then press the Shift key, then use the down arrow key to select the channels that you want to duplicate.
You can use the up and down arrows to change the blend mode of a channel.
You can reduce, increase or clone the channels by using the Ctrl (or Cmd) key and then selecting the

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said Tuesday that she would support a House resolution condemning anti-Semitism in response to remarks by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) questioning U.S. military aid to Israel.
“I think we’ve seen antisemitism now unleashed on the left for a long time. Now, it’s just been conflated with anti-Zionism,” Cheney said at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced the House will vote on a resolution condemning Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) on Wednesday after they were subject to accusations of anti-Semitism for their comments on Israel.
Cheney said she would join every Republican in signing the measure.
Cheney’s remarks came after President Donald Trump criticized her for bringing a resolution condemning Omar and Tlaib, saying it was “double standard” for House Democrats to condemn statements made by other Democrats.
“Condemnations? I don’t even know what they’re condemning her for,” Trump said at a press briefing Tuesday. “I find it interesting that they’re condemning somebody that, frankly, says things that they don’t like. I think it’s a terrible thing to do.”
Trump added: “It seems to me to be a terrible thing for the Democrats to, you know, to be putting out statements that they know are going to cause anti-Semitism.”
Cheney said Tuesday she believes the Democratic Party is facing “a serious crisis of confidence” among its own voters.
“I think that the Democratic Party has been the party of the pro-Israel lobby. That I think is a failing,” Cheney said. “I think that the party will never be as popular as it could be as long as anti-Semitism is tolerated in the party. And that they should be working to root it out.”
“But I think there’s a lot of room for the Democratic Party to improve in the way that they interact and in some cases their rhetoric, with Jewish voters,” she added.Four years ago the White House announced a budget guidance that declared funds would be going to conservation. Funds were also being left to “minimize” impacts on natural resources. As the White House unveiled

4 Unexpected Uses for Your Old Books
I feel like I read more books in the last two weeks than I have in the last few months. And although I really only have a small handful of books that I still want to read, I’m glad to see them on the shelf and I’m not quite sure when I’m going to get to them again. But I’m definitely not going to let those books go to waste.
I’m actually going to take them to a new and unexpected use!
Last night I was looking at my bookshelf and I saw a few that I’ve never opened. I started thinking of fun and interesting ways to use those books to get a few laughs. So I started writing them down. And after I got a few ideas, I thought it would be a great opportunity to post them on my blog!
4 Unexpected Uses for Your Old Books
Before reading this, how many of you have an unnecessary amount of books in your house? Probably not too many, but most people that I’ve talked to always have a couple of books sitting around. I’ve been slowly putting some of them back on my shelf, but I still need to go through the ones that I’m done with and get rid of them.
Many people just leave their books out on the coffee table for anyone and everyone to read. I’m not encouraging you to do this, because it’s the absolute worst thing you can do for your old books. So instead of letting them just sit there decaying, I thought I would tell you about a few new and interesting ways to use your books!
1. Hang Bookmarks on the Necks of Books
You probably never thought to put bookmarks in your books, but you should. If you aren’t in a mood to read, there’s no reason to force yourself to. Sure, we all probably feel guilty for not reading anymore, but don’t let it stop you from reading, especially your old books.
If you’ve ever listened to audio books, then you’ll know that the narrator can use bookmarks. If you have an old copy of the book, go ahead and put one on the page you’re reading. If you don’t have an old book, you can always buy some bookmarks in
